The team is excited to announce that GlobalLogic was named winners of the Emerging Technology Award at last night's Analytics Institute Awards! This prestigious award recognises organisations that have successfully employed new technologies such as IoT, Edge Computing, Machine Learning, or RPA. Our submission showcased the successful application of analytics technology to augment, improve, and automate human decision-making, resulting in better business and customer outcomes.
In the words of Declan Fay, Head of Strategic Business Development & Ireland Country Lead for GlobalLogic: “GlobalLogic's submission for the Emerging Technology Award exemplifies our commitment to leveraging analytics and AI technology to drive better business and customer outcomes. As a finalist for this prestigious award, we are proud to have demonstrated our expertise in areas such as IoT, Edge Computing, Machine Learning, and RPA. GlobalLogic remains at the forefront of innovation, continually exploring new technologies to transform industries and improve lives.”
Project Background:
Our partnership with a globally recognised pharma industry player aimed to revolutionise their medication dispensing process by developing a next-generation digital pharma inventory platform. At the core of this transformation was the implementation of a robotics driven fulfilment capability, leveraging robotics, OCR technology, and artificial intelligence. By applying OCR technology and AI algorithms, we enhanced the efficiency, accuracy, and patient safety in pharmaceutical product fulfilment.
Positive Impact and Key Learnings:
The impact of this project extended beyond the customer's inventory operations. Our use of analytics technology showcased the ability to transform traditional processes into a modern, data-driven approach. The robotic arm-driven fulfilment system delivered numerous benefits, including increased efficiency, improved accuracy, enhanced customer safety, and increased productivity.
Whilst the focus was to modernise a fulfilment system, the use of an advanced ML-based solution has provided our client with a deeper understanding of customer purchasing behaviour, preferences, and needs. It has also enabled reporting for product fulfilment & supply chain forecasting with self service capabilities, evolving the inventory operation and business intelligence.
A huge congratulations to everyone who helped make this project a success, and to all the finalists and winners we had the pleasure of celebrating with last night.
Thank you also to the organisers for putting on such a show. From the three course dinner, to the six piece band (complete with saxophone), to giving our colleagues an occasion to dust off their kilts and bowties, the evening truly celebrated innovation within the AI and analytics space and our team certainly left feeling inspired for what's to come.
