MODERN SLAVERY ACT TRANSPARENCY STATEMENT

This statement (“Transparency Statement”) is produced in compliance with Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (“the Act”) and demonstrates our commitment to the eradication of modern slavery within our business and supply chain.
GlobalLogic Corp. UK Ltd (“GL UK&I”) is a leading IT services provider delivering enterprise transformation in Digital Engineering; Customer Experience; Cloud Adoption; Data & Analytics; Cloud Ops; DevOps Training and Technology Transformation. GlobalLogic Corp. UK Ltd are members of the GlobalLogic group and a wholly owned subsidiary of GlobalLogic Inc, a Hitachi Group Company. This Transparency Statement covers GL UK&I and references in this Transparency Statement to “we”, “us” and “our” are therefore to GL UK&I only.
GL UK&I Commitments
We have a zero-tolerance approach to any form of forced or bonded labour, including modern slavery and human trafficking (collectively referred to in this Transparency Statement as “forced labour”). We are committed to:
- Ensuring that there is no forced labour within (a) any part of our business or (b) in our supply chains
- Reviewing and improving our practices to combat forced labour
- Acting ethically and with integrity in all our business relationships
Business Risk
We have applied a risk-based assessment on our business and supply chain and as a result, determine the risk of modern slavery and human trafficking to be low. This determination was produced based on the nature of our business and the skills required by our employees; the sectors and industry in which we operate; our clients and partners and the extent of the supply chain we engage with. We ensure all our contractual agreements have the necessary legal provisions and mandate all our clients and suppliers comply with the applicable law. We have a zero-tolerance approach to forced labour and we will terminate our relationship with any client or supplier if found to engage in any activity, practice or conduct which would constitute an offence under the Act or fail to take such necessary steps to ensure full compliance with the Act.
GL UK&I engages with reputable suppliers and vendors, and we have an effective procurement process in place to ensure that suppliers are selected based on their ability to demonstrate that they have appropriate process in place to tackle forced labour. We operate our business in an ethical manner and expect our employees, client, partners, and supplier to do the same. We have a whistleblowing policy in place should any of our employees suspect any form of misconduct and encourage our employees to escalate their concerns in a safe and secure manner.
Employment Practices
We act responsibly in terms of recruitment and engagement of our own staff. We undertake a thorough pre-employment screening process on all personnel relevant to the jurisdiction they will be working in. We also provide an appropriate level of training to our employees on the risk of forced labour in our business and in our supply chain.
Responsibility
GL UK&I continually review our policies and processes to ensure compliance and implement pro-active measures to eliminate risk from our business practices and monitor those of our supply chain. This Transparency Statement was approved by the Directors of GlobalLogic Corp. UK Ltd on 1 April 2022 and will be updated annually.
