Description
Well known Musical Instruments Corporation, an American manufacturer of stringed instruments and amplifiers, is working on a next generation digital products. As a part of this effort, GlobalLogic will be working on a brand new desktop and mobile applications to configure hardware (via Bluetooth or USB). The software will allow the user to create, edit, and organize hardware presets, upload/download presets to the hardware, and share presets with the cloud community. The effort will include some audio processing components running on desktop or mobile device.
Requirements
Must have:
– BS degree in Computer Science or Computer Engineering
– Good understanding of C++ programming language (STL, Algorithms, C++14/17/20 features), OOP concepts
– Experience Qt/QML frameworks in developing cross-platform UI applications
– Highly motivated and energetic team member
– Good technical English (written and spoken) is required as this position involves direct communication with the US-based customer
– 1+ years of working experience with similar technologies
– Development experience in at least one of Windows or Macintosh OS platforms
Nice to have:
– Be a guitar/bass player
– Experience with developing for Android in C++, Java, or Kotlin
– Experience with audio processing
– Experience with development using Agile (Scrum) methodologies
– Experience with writing robust unit tests and using test driven development
– Python experience is a plus

Job Responsibilities
We are looking for a talented, creative and enthusiastic C++ Engineer to join the team in Ukraine. To join our high-performing team, you must have an understanding of software engineering and object-oriented design techniques, the ability to create, debug, and maintain bulletproof C++ code, an eye for detail, and maintain extremely high standards with respect to software quality and reliability.
As a part of this team you will work on developing new functionality, as well as fixing issues. This team is responsible for all aspects of user interface, event processing, communication with cloud services, communication with device, collecting, processing, and editing hardware preset data. You will be involved in many projects relating to implementing new workflows for our customers.
Having that application will be released for 5 platforms (Embedded Linux, Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android, including various mobile device screen sizes), creation and support of automated test suite is highly desirable. As a Software Engineer you will be involved in creation such a test suite, providing developer support for Automation QA engineers, exposing test points/interfaces, implementing mock objects, etc.
