MODERN SLAVERY ACT TRANSPARENCY STATEMENT
Financial Year Ending March 2024
This statement (the “Transparency Statement”) is published on behalf of GlobalLogic (UK) Limited (“GL UK”) and GlobalLogic Corp. UK Ltd (“GL UK&I”) and produced in compliance with Section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the “Act”). The Act requires a business to state the actions they have taken during the financial year to ensure modern slavery is not taking place in their operations and supply chains.
As defined by the Act, Modern Slavery is a crime and violation of fundamental human rights. It takes various forms, such as slavery, servitude, forced and compulsory labour and human trafficking, all of which have in common the deprivation of a person’s liberty by another in order to exploit them for personal or commercial gain.
GL UK and GL UK&I, members of the GlobalLogic group of companies (“GlobalLogic”), are fully committed to playing our part in eradicating modern slavery. We advocate for transparency and collaboration to eliminate the risks of modern slavery and are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking.
This Transparency Statement covers GL UK and GL UK&I and references in this Transparency Statement to “we”, “us” and “our” are therefore to GL UK and GL UK&I only.

Risk assessment
We have evaluated our risks, and due to the nature of our business and skilled services we provide, and the nature of the suppliers we use to support our business, GL UK and GL UK&I are at low risk in relation to Forced Labour. GlobalLogic provides services from highly-skilled, highly educated engineers and technology leaders globally to deliver quality services to our customers. The nature of our industry, and the importance of attracting and retaining key talent being critical to our business, makes any risk of Forced labour in our business low.
Our supply chain is comprised of reputable UK technology vendors (IT hardware and software etc.), and providers of infrastructure and other business services (cleaning services, couriers, office space, business equipment, catering etc.). GL UK and GL UK&I may also rely on executive recruiters, providers of professional legal and financial services, training providers, events companies, business travel agents, criminal and financial screening agents and other contractors as are necessary from time to time. We review the use of suppliers and as necessary, will adapt out processes if we determine any risk.
Our anti-slavery and human trafficking measures
GlobalLogic is committed to conducting business in a responsible and ethical manner and complies with all laws attendant to its business. We are committed to ensuring that there is no Forced Labour in our supply chains or in any part of our business.
GlobalLogic has global policies and procedures for all group companies to ensure effective systems and controls are in place to prevent Forced Labour from occurring in our business. The Hitachi Group Code of Ethics and Business Conduct establishes principles for how we conduct our business, and we actively encourage our employees to raise any concerns they have, including in relation to any suspicion of slavery in any part of our business or supply chain. Hitachi Group Whistleblowing Policy provides GlobalLogic employees with safe processes to report concerns. GlobalLogic also provides all personnel with reporting mechanisms that include a third-party provided Whistleblower hotline to enable and encourage a compliance culture. We are committed to ensuring no one suffers any detrimental treatment as a result of reporting in good faith their suspicion that Forced Labour of whatever form is or may be taking place.
We engage with reputable suppliers and vendors, and we have an effective procurement process in place to ensure that suppliers are selected based on their ability to demonstrate that they have appropriate processes in place to tackle Forced Labour. GL UK and GL UK&I operate a transparent, tier one supply chain engaging experienced vendors to support our business activities. We undertake due diligence assessments on all of our suppliers and require them to adhere to our Supplier Code of Conduct and warrant they will operate in compliance with all applicable laws. We operate our business in an ethical manner and expect our employees, customers, partners and suppliers to do the same. We ensure all our contractual agreements have the necessary legal provisions and mandate all our customers and suppliers comply with the Act. We will terminate our relationship with any customer or supplier if they are found to engage in any activity, practice or conduct which would constitute an offence under the Act or fail to take such necessary steps to ensure full compliance with the Act.
Employment Practices
We act responsibly in terms of recruitment and engagement of our own staff. GL UK and GL UK&I have a Recruitment and Selection Policy in place to ensure that the recruitment and selection of our employees is conducted in an efficient and effective manner, ensuring fairness, consistency and equal opportunities for all. We undertake a thorough pre-employment screening process, including checking eligibility to work in the UK, on all employees (including contract and temporary resources) relevant to the jurisdiction they will be working in and vetted to a regulatory standard.
To ensure a high level of understanding of the risks of Forced Labour in our business and supply chains, we provide annual compliance training to all employees. The training provides the flexibility to refresh the training content and issue to our employees where there is a requirement for us to do so. All GL UK and GL UK&I policies are available to employees via our corporate intranet.
Our effectiveness in combating slavery and human trafficking
GlobalLogic conducts internal audits from time to time, none of which have identified any Forced Labour in any portion of the business, or supply chain, including GL UK and GL UK&I.
We continually review and evaluate our business practices and compliance, and we believe all efforts to date are effective in preventing Forced Labour from our business and our supply chain.
