Our client is a performance rights organization in the United States. It collects blanket license fees from businesses that use music, entitling those businesses to play or sync any songs from the client’s repertoire of over 22.4 million musical works. On a regular basis, the client distributes the money to songwriters, composers, and music publishers as royalties to those members whose works have been performed.

Requirements

We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Mainframe Developer with 10+ years of hands-on experience in mainframe development and database management. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of COBOL II, DB2 for Z/OS, CICS, MVS JCL, and TSO/ISPF, along with strong SQL expertise.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • 10+ years of mainframe development experience.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with DB2 for Z/OS, COBOL II, MVS JCL, CICS, and TSO/ISPF.
  • Strong SQL skills with proven database management experience.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, including Visio.
  • Experience with IBM DFSORT and ENDEVOR is a plus.
  • Knowledge of Oracle and Linux is an advantage.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

  • Must posses ability to work independently in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
  • Must be a self-motivated team player who understands the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and open communication, including a willingness to occasionally work in a pair-programming environment
  • Must possess the ability to create and maintain artifacts including use cases, data flow charts, process flow diagrams, software requirements document, functional specifications document, etc
  • Must possess strong analytical, problem solving and technical documentation skills
  • Must possess ability to effectively present information and respond to questions
  • Experience with distributed systems or a large enterprise background is preferred
  • Must have an excellent understanding and hands-on experience with design and development best practices
  • Detail orientation and strong attention to detail
  • Must have progressive achievement in job history
  • Must be willing to work overtime, including weekends, when required
  • Understanding of SDLC automation concept such as continuous integration
  • Must posses ability to implement strong unit and service-level tests
