Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in object-oriented development, with expert-level proficiency in C++ and strong coding best practices.
- Proven leadership and mentoring experience (1-2 years minimum), with the ability to guide other developers (group up to 10 engineers), drive best practices, and contribute to overall system design.
- Deep expertise in C/C++ programming, with an in-depth understanding of language specifications, advanced debugging, and optimization techniques.
- Proven experience designing and developing complex C++ applications on Linux-based environments (any distribution).
- Strong expertise in multi-threaded, multi-core programming in Linux.
- Comprehensive understanding of C++ standard libraries, STL containers, and algorithms, with the ability to optimize and implement best practices.
- Advanced knowledge of memory management techniques (Linux), including debugging, profiling, and performance tuning.
- Experience in embedded systems performance optimization, ensuring reliability and efficiency.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate multiple approaches, prepare documents, and communicate technical solutions to stakeholders, architects, and developers.
- Hands-on experience in unit testing, ensuring code quality and maintainability.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts clearly.
- Proficient in English (minimum B2 level), both written and spoken.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience in using tools like Valgrind, Perfetto.dev, and Heaptrack as well as development in a MacOS environment will be a plus.
Responsibilities:
- Develop, integrate, optimize, and maintain (C++) development tools for profiling applications in a Linux environment, ensuring compatibility, reliability, and efficiency.
- Lead the design and implementation of new features in profiling tools, driving its technical excellence and innovation.
- Integrate, test, and debug C++ code, ensuring seamless functionality and system compatibility (Linux, MacOS).
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, QA, and product management, to define requirements, design solutions, and deliver high-quality software.
- Conduct thorough code reviews, providing constructive feedback, ensuring adherence to best practices, and mentoring developers.
- Take ownership of system architecture and technical decision-making, advocating for performance improvements and best coding practices.
- Ensure robust unit testing and participate in test-driven development (TDD) to maintain code quality and stability.
- Identify and resolve complex software issues, applying strong problem-solving and debugging skills (e.g. GDB).
