Description:
A project within the Energy domain that covers Asset Performance Management and is designed to provide health and performance insights to prevent critical asset failures while optimizing asset lifecycle costs. The software you will be working on will help clients to:
– Increased reliability by identifying, prioritizing, and resolving risks
– Reduce maintenance costs by replacing the ineffective time-based practices
– Lower capital expenditures by extending asset lifespan
Requirements:
AWS Infrastructure Design:
- Design and implement scalable, secure, and high-performing AWS infrastructure solutions.
Deployment and Automation:
- Implement and manage continuous deployment and integration processes using AWS services and automation tools.
Infrastructure as Code (IaC):
- Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) scripts to automate the provisioning and configuration of AWS resources.
Security:
- Implement and manage security policies and controls to ensure a secure cloud environment.
Monitoring and Optimization:
- Monitor AWS environments for performance, availability, and cost optimization opportunities
Collaboration:
- Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand project requirements and provide cloud infrastructure expertise.
Troubleshooting and Support:
- Provide support for incidents and troubleshoot issues related to AWS infrastructure.
Qualifications:
- Java
- Proven experience as an AWS Cloud Engineer or similar role.
- Strong understanding of AWS services, including EKS, S3, RDS, EC2, Lambda and VPC.
- Proficient in scripting languages such as Python or Shell.
- Experience with configuration management tools (e.g., Ansible, Terraform).
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Education and Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or AWS Certified DevOps Engineer certification is a plus.

Responsibilities:
Experienced in Java development with focus on AWS, to be a contact point with the architecture team and cloud technology team. As an AWS Cloud Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining scalable AWS cloud infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of AWS services, best practices, and hands-on experience in cloud automation. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure a robust and secure cloud environment, meeting Hitachi Energy’s performance and availability requirements.
