Description:

This position is for a project in which the client is providing technical solutions for fitness clubs in the USA. The Command Center L2 Support Engineer is responsible for monitoring, troubleshooting, and resolving issues related to IT infrastructure, networks, and applications. The L2 Support Engineer plays a crucial role in ensuring the stability and performance of the client’s systems.

Requirements:

  • 1. 2+ years of relevant experience as an L2 Support Engineer in NOC support
    2. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
    3. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
    4. Experience with monitoring tools and incident management systems
    5. Strong knowledge of IT infrastructure, networking, and troubleshooting methodologies
    6. Strong Oracle knowledge
    7. Good knowledge of APM software
    8. Hands-On Database Knowledge – RDS Postgres
              Proficient in managing RDS Postgres, including monitoring latency and thresholds
              Skilled in checking RDS alerts for storage and memory utilization, ensuring optimal performance
              Ability to identify and troubleshoot database deadlock issues
    9. Good understanding of AWS services, AWS functionality, and the ability to monitor AWS logs
    10. Hands-on experience with Linux commands; comfortable executing commands on the server to view logs or check specific errors
    11. Solid hands-on knowledge of Grafana’s various graphs and understanding the impact of any value change
    12. Proficient hands-on knowledge of New Relic’s different graphs and their impact on any value change
    13. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
    14. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities:

1. Address and resolve escalated incidents from L1 support, ensuring timely and efficient solutions
2. Conduct in-depth analyses of incidents, pinpointing root causes, and implementing preventive measures
3. Monitor IT systems, networks, and applications using specialized tools, responding promptly to alerts and mitigating potential issues before impacting operations
4. Diagnose and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to applications, software, and network infrastructure
5. Collaborate with cross-functional teams for efficient issue resolution
6. Maintain thorough and current documentation of incidents, solutions, and configurations
7. Contribute to the knowledge base to facilitate the resolution of similar issues in the future
8. Work closely with L1 support, L3 support, and other IT teams to ensure seamless communication and collaboration
9. Participate in on-call rotations, providing support during critical incidents
10. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement, contributing to the implementation of best practices
11. Stay abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to enhance the command center’s capabilities
