QA Automation

Requirements

 

– Understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and testing lifecycle
– Knowledge of different types of testing (e.g., functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance testing)
– Familiarity with test case creation, execution, and management
– Experience with bug tracking and test management tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla, TestRail)
– Basic understanding of databases and SQL for data validation
– Familiarity with web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
– Understanding of API testing basics

– Proficiency in Selenium WebDriver
– Experience with programming languageC#

– Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git)
– Understanding of web technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript)
– Experience with API testing and tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured)
– Familiarity with performance testing tools (e.g., JMeter)

– Understanding of Agile and Scrum methodologies

 

Job responsibilities

– Develop and document comprehensive test plans and test cases based on requirements and specifications.

– Identify test scenarios, create detailed test cases, and prepare test data.

– Execute test cases manually and report bugs or defects.
– Perform different types of testing (functional, regression, integration, system, user acceptance testing).
– Validate bug fixes and perform regression testing to ensure resolved issues do not reoccur.

– Document test results and maintain a log of test activities.
– Report and track defects using bug tracking tools (e.g., Jira, Bugzilla).
– Prepare test summary reports and provide status updates to the QA lead or project manager.

– Work closely with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and clarify ambiguities.

– Participate in daily stand-ups, sprint planning, and retrospectives as part of Agile teams.
– Provide feedback and suggestions for process improvement.

– Assist in reproducing and diagnosing issues reported by end-users.
– Provide support during user acceptance testing (UAT).

– Design, develop, and implement test automation frameworks and strategies.
– Identify and prioritize test cases for automation based on risk and criticality.

– Write and maintain automated test scripts using Selenium.
– Ensure test scripts are reusable, maintainable, and well-documented.
– Update and maintain existing automation scripts in response to changes in application features and functionalities.

– Execute automated test scripts and analyze results.

– Report and track defects identified through automated testing.
– Perform root cause analysis for test failures and work with developers to resolve issues.

– Collaborate with manual testers to understand test scenarios and assist in converting them into automated scripts.
– Work with development teams to ensure the application is designed for testability and automation.
– Participate in code reviews and provide feedback on testability and automation aspects.

– Stay updated with the latest industry trends, tools, and best practices in test automation.
– Continuously improve test automation processes, frameworks, and scripts.
– Mentor and train junior team members in automation best practices and tools.
