Description:
The project will focus on the delivery of the MVP (Minimum Viable Product) on a multi-cloud native architecture. It will include the development of 3 golden APIs over an API Management platform (Apigee) including Tenancy Management over the API Layer. The 3 API implementations will be designed using Rate Limiting, Quotas, logging, and analytics aligned with non-functional requirements.
The MVP phase will include the design and implementation of 2 CI/CD Pipelines for the delivery of the GCP architecture, AWS Architecture, and the API Platform. The MVP phase will include a team to define API governance including the definition of the API Reference architecture & standards, the developer playbook, and initial logging, analytics, and monitoring.
Requirements:
Mandatory> English Advanced Level.
> API REST testing with postman.
Looking for a skilled API Engineer to join our team for an Apigee implementation project. The API Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining APIs using Apigee, ensuring they meet performance, security, and scalability standards. This role involves close collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality API solutions that drive business objectives.
Proven experience as an API Engineer or similar role, with a focus on Apigee.
Strong understanding of API design principles, RESTful architecture, and microservices.
Proficiency in programming languages such as Java, Python, or Node.js.
Experience with API security best practices, including OAuth, JWT, and rate limiting.
Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices.
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
Responsibilities:
API Development: Design, develop, and maintain APIs using Apigee and microservices architecture.
Requirement Analysis: Work with stakeholders to gather and understand API requirements, translating them into technical specifications.
Performance Optimization: Optimize API performance, ensuring scalability and reliability.
Security Implementation: Implement and enforce API security measures, including authentication, authorization, and threat protection.
Integration: Integrate APIs with various systems and third-party services, ensuring seamless data flow and interoperability.
Testing and Validation: Develop and execute test plans to validate API functionality and performance.
Documentation: Create and maintain comprehensive API documentation, including specifications, design documents, and usage guides.
Collaboration: Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure smooth deployment and operation of APIs.
Troubleshooting: Provide support for API-related issues, debugging and resolving problems promptly.
Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities to improve API development processes and contribute to the enhancement of the overall API strategy.
