Requirements:

We are seeking for a highly experienced Lead DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and manage cloud-based infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of applications and services.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in AWS and Azure, with expertise in automation, container orchestration, and CI/CD pipelines.
This role requires exceptional problem-solving skills, team management experience, and a deep understanding of cloud security and scalability best practices.

• Education & Certifications:
– AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate.
– MS Azure Solution Architect – AZ-305

• Technical Experience:
– 6+ years of experience in AWS and Azure.
– Experience in deploying and supporting .NET, Java, and Python applications.

• Soft Skills:
– Proven ability to translate business requirements into effective technical solutions.
– Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and collaboration skills.

• Other:
– Knowledge of Azure AD, Microsoft Security Center, and hybrid cloud solutions.
– Experience with Power BI analytics and IBM integration projects.
– Familiarity with API gateway configurations and Nginx reverse proxies.
– Up to 3 days per week in the office in Manchester.


Responsibilities:

• Cloud Infrastructure Management:
– Design, build, and optimize cloud solutions on AWS, Azure.
– Plan and migrate Windows/Linux workloads across public and hybrid cloud environments.
– Configure secure, scalable, and highly available cloud services using best practices.

• Automation & CI/CD Pipelines:
– Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Terraform, TeamCity, Circle CI ,Octopus Deploy, Git and Github Actions and Azure DevOps.
– Automate resource provisioning, patching, and deployments to enhance efficiency and consistency.

• Containerization & Orchestration:
– Implement and manage container platforms using Docker, Kubernetes (EKS/AKS), and Rancher.
– Deploy and manage Helm packages for Kubernetes cluster configurations.

• Cloud Security & Monitoring:
– Ensure application and infrastructure security through best practices and regular audits.
– Integrate monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, New Relic, and Elasticsearch/Kibana to optimize system performance.

• Collaboration & Team Leadership:
– Work closely with development and data engineering teams to implement best practices and ensure seamless integration.
– Lead and mentor a team of engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and knowledge sharing.

• DevOps Practices:
– Establish and enforce DevOps principles, improving code integration, deployment processes, and system observability.
– Develop disaster recovery and business continuity solutions tailored to client needs.
