Job Summary

 

The qualified candidate will work as a member of the sustaining development team focused on security, multifactor authentication, and server components for Imprivata’s healthcare security product set. This team is focused on customer issue investigation and fixes to help ensure continued success with our product. This role will be front-and-center in our transition of our core product to become more server focused. We are looking for someone who enjoys the challenge of tough technical problems and who wants to work on products helping over 1 million users every day in saving time, reducing frustration and providing better patient care. We need someone with a passion for building world-class applications and desire to make an impact on our organization and on solving real-world problems.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related degree.
• 3+ years of development experience.
• Client-server application development experience implementing end-user workflows.
• Working knowledge of Java, JSON, RESTful Web APIs, JDBC, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Tomcat, Apache HTTP Server, and the Linux environment.
• Working knowledge of Java open-source frameworks (e.g., Play, Spring, Hibernate).
• Experience with relational database principles.
• Strong proven design skills with the ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high expectations.
• Solid experience with the full software development life cycle and a proven track record in successfully bringing products to market.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact well with both internal teams and external customers and partners.
• Experience working in an agile scrum environment is a plus.
• Knowledge of VMWare or Citrix system is plus.
• Working knowledge of modern UI tools like Angular 2 or ReactJS. Relay and GraphQL is a plus.

Job responsibilities

Duties and responsibilities:

 

• Investigate and troubleshoot customer issues in EAM features in the areas of security, authentication, single sign-on and healthcare workflow enablement.
• The Sustaining Engineer is responsible for customer support escalations and the development of solutions for reported defects and security vulnerabilities in areas including clinician authentication, single-sign on and third party integrations to help ensure continued success with our product.
• Experience developing and debugging software in a multi-threaded environment.
• Working knowledge of Core Java 8 and Cloud to be able to debug and fix issues in the code.
• Experience with SQL, JDBC, Oracle Database
• Design and code unit and automated tests that allow manual testing to focus on high-risk areas.
• Assist QA in qualifying new vendor releases, including APIs, to determine ongoing compatibility with OneSign.
• Working in a scrum/Kanban team model, be responsible for analyzing possible solutions, scoping, planning, and delivering fixes.
• Work with sustaining team manager and other team leads to prioritizing work and improve sustaining process
• Create high quality code testable through automation.
• Create unit and functional automated tests.
