Description:
You will have the
opportunity to build a highly scalable intelligent data platform for CVX/automotive solutions
using the latest 5G/MEC and cloud technologies. You will build products and services that
will have a huge impact on how IoT/5G/MEC IoT platforms and solutions will be built in the
future.
● Hands-on participation in architecture and design of the highly scalable, low latency
data platform using edge computing/MEC and cloud.
● Architecture, design and development of a multi-tenant and big data ingestion and
processing platform using MQTT, transportation data standards, security, and low
latency data processing.
● Develop cloud services using AWS technologies such as AWS IoT, AWS EKS,
Kinesis, Kafka, Lambda, Dynamodb, API Gateway, Cognito, EMR/Spark, and
Aurora, SageMaker.
● Partner with other teams and development leaders to ensure overall architecture and
design are aligned with edge and cloud development best practices.
● Work closely with globally spread development teams.
● Develop platform core services that makes vertical application development faster
and consistent with the overall design of the entire ecosystem.
● Work with product managers and stakeholders to set strategic direction for the
platform.
● Develop API and support 3rd party development ecosystem for partners to develop
applications on top of the platform.
Requirements:
You’ll need to have:
● 3 or more years of relevant work experience.
● Experience in product development cloud-based applications and services.
● Experience of AWS, Azure, or GCP technologies.
● Knowledge of delivering products using Agile.
● Experience with Big Data, NoSQL, SQL databases (e.g. Cassandra, Aurora,
DynamoDB, HDFS, Redshift etc.)
● Experience with Big Data ingestion and integration tool experience
(Kafka/Kinesis/Hadoop/Spark/Flume etc.)
Even better if you have one or more of the following:
● Ability to make meaningful technical and business trade-offs with extensive
knowledge of data engineering tools, technologies and approaches.
● Worked on highly scalable and realtime edge applications using 5G/MEC.
● Developed high volume telemetry processing using Kafka and MQTT.
● Familiarity of automotive and transportation protocol standard/5GAA.
● Proficiency in Golang, Python, JAVA languages.
Preferences:
● 3 or more years of relevant work experience.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for conceiving, specifying, designing, programming, documenting, testing, and
bug fixing involved in creating and maintaining software components.
* Lead discussions with the business to determine the requirements and design of large-
scale software systems and services that best meets the needs of the business.
* Determine the structure, design, and scope of the software systems and services, utilizing
the necessary programming languages.
* Develop the initial design and testing framework, verifying that the design meets
requirements and implementing into production.
* Provides guidance and standards for resolving issues that occur during the programming
and design of the software.
* Ensure that the project is completed within the specified timeframe, prioritizing resources
to ensure objectives are being met.
* Identify software integration requirements for production deployment and lead integration
discussions with internal/external impacted partners.
* Oversee development of the software to ensure the software implementation meets the
design and integration requirements. Work with identified stakeholders to lead the production
deployment and acceptance handoff of the software.
* Ensure tight privacy, compliance and security controls are maintained in all the
frameworks.
* Mentors less experienced engineers in the team.
