Description

Due to the rapid growth of our engineering department, we are looking for a new Competency Manager in the Quality Assurance domain at the Krakow site. In this role you will be leading the team of several dozen QA’s engineers, helping them in reaching their full potential.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years’ experience as a Line Manager (or as Project Manager/Engineering manager) in the IT
  • Leadership including the ability to empower people, coaching and mentoring
  • Good understanding of the software development process and business-related fields (Quality Assurance is a plus)
  • Excellent communication and presentation, organizational and problem-solving skills
  • Interpersonal skills for building good relationships with the team
  • Fulfilling commitments and willingness to show initiative

Nice to have:

  • Commercial coding or QA experience
  • Experience with cross-functional teams, agile other methodologies
  • MSc or equivalent degree in Computer Science, Electronics or related technical area

Job responsibilities

  • Providing leadership and direction to one of the delivery teams in line with company strategy and customer needs
  • Competence development and utilization of staff allocated to the Teams
  • Tight collaboration with the delivery team globally
  • Managing the motivation and performance of people, giving regular feedback; reviewing and making salary decisions
  • Defining development areas for assigned people in a given technology
  • Day-to-day cooperation with Project Managers in the people management area
  • Establishing and encouraging an organizational culture
  • Sharing knowledge in a manner that helps people to develop their competence
  • Driving Quality Assurance tech community
  • Engaging internal and external technical communities to promote, learn and teach
  • Close cooperation with HR and recruitment team in recruiting and hiring talents to fill team positions
