Description:
We are developing an interface into motor partner personal insurance for one of the largest UK insurance companies listed on the London Stock Exchange. We are building our system using a combination of modern Front-end technologies, microservices architecture, proven integration patterns, and AWS Cloud.
As a part of our growing team in Poland, you will work together with customer’s international multi-functional agile delivery team, including analysts, architects, software engineers, and product owners, building and maintaining together cloud-based solutions fit for low-latency, highly-available, machine learning solutions within AWS.
Requirements:
- Extensive experience with backend development using JavaScript (Node.js) and TypeScript
- Experience working with serverless architectures, AWS and Lambda
- Experience developing asynchronous and synchronous integrations including an understanding of queueing mechanisms
- Strong understanding of API contracts both for consumption and publication i.e. OpenAPI Specifications
- Familiarity with API integration mechanisms including REST (essential), JsonRpc (preferable) and SOAP (preferable)
- Experience with API Gateway beneficial
- Experience with writing unit tests, integration tests, end to end tests, API contract tests and performance tests
- Proficient in using Git for version control
- Experience with GitHub workflows
- Experience with writing unit tests, integration tests, end to end tests, API contract tests and performance tests
- Experience in using static analysis tools such as Sonar, Chekov to maintain good coding standards
- Experience with industry wide API security best practices such as TLS, MTLS, OAuth, zero-trust, JWT, OIDC, firewalls, API gateways, throttling and request quotas
- Working knowledge of supporting tools such as Jira, Confluence, etc.
- Highly organized and thorough with attention to detail and documentation
- Good level of English
Preferable:
- Experience with Terraform for Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Responsibilities:
- Develop efficient front-end solutions using TypeScript.
- Design and implement TypeScript-based user interfaces and application logic.
- Integrate APIs and services into TypeScript applications.
- Collaborate with designers and developers to create and enhance applications.
- Conduct code reviews, ensuring code quality, organization, and automation.
- Run unit and integration tests.
