Українські інженери GlobalLogic представили власну 5G розробку на MWC Barcelona 2024

Українські інженери GlobalLogic представили 5G ClusterCraft Accelerator — архітектуру для налаштування 5G мереж під потреби бізнесу. Розробка була презентована на  одній з найпрестижніших виставок у сфері телекомунікацій MWC Barcelona 2024. 

Сучасні підприємства та бізнеси все частіше потребують розгортання власної приватної мережі. Це допомагає підвищувати безпеку, швидше передавати дані,  гнучко керувати доступами й навантаженням на мережу. А ще – оптимізувати витрати бізнесу. Адже завдяки хмарній моделі NaaS (Мережі як сервісу) бізнеси можуть орендувати мережеві послуги у хмарного постачальника та вирівняти свої витрати з фактичним використанням мережевих ресурсів.

Так, команда з 16 українських інженерів GlobalLogic створила 5G ClusterCraft Accelerator – архітектурну кодову базу, що значно сприятиме розвитку NaaS та приватних 5G мереж. 5G ClusterCraft Accelerator також був презентований клієнтам GlobalLogic та привернув увагу міжнародних компаній на MWC Barcelona 2024.

5G ClusterCraft Accelerator дозволяє:

• Налаштувати платформи провайдерів зв’язку та створювати нові бізнес-моделі надання послуг – як, наприклад, онлайн оренда мережевого програмного забезпечення з підтримкою декількох хмарних рішень одночасно. Це дозволяє, приміром, обрати дата-центр Azure в Берліні та розгорнути сервіс або дата-центр AWS в Лондоні.
• Швидко розгортати комплексні (end-to-end) приватні  мережі з миттєвим моніторингом змін для підвищення безпеки, використовуючи сучасні GitOps підходи;
• Тестувати навантаження на мережу, забезпечуючи високу надійність зв'язку;
• Пропонувати гнучкість у виборі хмарних сервісів для оптимізації внутрішньої інфраструктури;
• Використовувати програмне забезпечення будь-якого стороннього постачальника для побудови телекомунікаційної мережі.

"Наша мета — надати бізнесу потужний та гнучкий інструмент для налаштування мережі. Наприклад, сучасні розумні заводи чи склади містять велику кількість різних підключених пристроїв: роботи, камери машинного зору, дистанційно керовані пристрої, датчики, детектори тощо. Підвищені ризики, притаманні промисловому середовищу, вимагають ретельного тестування послуг зв'язку перед реальним розгортанням", — говорить Віталій Ногін, директор з інжинірингу, GlobalLogic.

За прогнозами, ринок приватних 5G мереж досягне $6.4 млрд до 2026 року. Водночас ринок NaaS також стрімко зростає: у 2023 році він досягнув $14.6 млрд з середньорічним темпом (CAGR) у 26.7%. Передбачається, що до 2032 року його фінансова частка збільшиться до $115.5 млрд. Це означає, що технологічні рішення як  5G ClusterCraft Accelerator допоможуть бізнесам прискорювати зростання та цифрову трансформацію.

GlobalLogic’s Ukrainian engineers presented their 5G development at MWC Barcelona 2024

Ukrainian engineers of GlobalLogic have presented the 5G ClusterCraft Accelerator, an architecture for adapting 5G networks to business needs. The development was presented at MWC Barcelona 2024, one of the most prestigious exhibitions in the telecommunications industry.  

Modern enterprises and businesses increasingly need to deploy their private network. This helps to increase security, transfer data faster, and flexibly manage access and network load. It also helps optimize business costs. Thanks to the cloud-based Network as a Service (NaaS) model, businesses can rent network services from a cloud provider and align their costs with the actual use of network resources.

A team of 16 Ukrainian engineers at GlobalLogic created the 5G ClusterCraft Accelerator, an architectural code base that will significantly contribute to the development of NaaS and private 5G networks. The 5G ClusterCraft Accelerator was also presented to GlobalLogic customers and attracted the attention of international companies at MWC Barcelona 2024.

5G ClusterCraft Accelerator enables to:

• Customize communication provider platforms and create new business models for service delivery — such as online rental of network software that supports multiple cloud solutions simultaneously. For example, select an Azure data center in Berlin and deploy a service or AWS data center in London;
• Rapidly deploy end-to-end private networks with instant monitoring of changes to improve security using modern GitOps approaches;
• Test network load to ensure high reliability of communications;
• Provide flexibility in selecting cloud services to optimize internal infrastructure;
• Leverage software from any third-party vendor to build a telecommunications network.

"Our goal is to provide enterprises with a powerful and flexible tool for network customization. For example, modern smart factories or warehouses contain many different connected devices: robots, machine vision cameras, remotely operated equipment, sensors, detectors, etc. The increased risks associated with the industrial environment require thorough testing of communication services before actual deployment," said Vitaly Nogin, Director of Engineering, GlobalLogic.

The market for private 5G networks is forecast to reach $6.4 billion by 2026. At the same time, the NaaS market is also growing rapidly, reaching $14.6 billion in 2023 at a CAGR of 26.7%. Its financial share is expected to grow to $115.5 billion by 2032. Technology solutions like the 5G ClusterCraft Accelerator will help businesses accelerate their growth and digital transformation.
