Vice President – ER and Compliance HR Lead, People Team

The Employee Relations and Compliance HR Lead, People Team will encompass all aspects of employee relations (ER) globally, across the company, ensuring adherence to employment laws and regulations by managing compliance initiatives, investigating employee concerns, advising management on legal issues, and proactively implementing strategies to maintain a compliant and positive work environment.

  • Reporting: to the Chief People Officer (CPO)
  • Location: GlobalLogic Headquarters is based in Santa Clara, California; US-based remote candidates will be considered. Domestic and international travel will be necessary at 10-20%.
  • Compensation: Competitive market-based compensation, which includes base salary, short-term annual cash bonus (% of base salary); long-term incentive plan (cash) participation, and non-cash employee benefit programs. #LI-AK1

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
  • 15+ years experience in employee relations management, including conflict resolution and investigations
  • Ability to calibrate risk to support innovation while appropriately protecting the Company; deep understanding of global employment legal frameworks and cultural norms that impact employment compliance
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and address compliance issues
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with employees, managers, and legal counsel
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive employee information
  • Prior experience within a multinational professional services or technology company; relevant industry experience at an IT services company preferred

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Employee Relations Management:
    Establish a global framework and governance for the Employee Relations function of the company.
    Investigate and resolve employee grievances, complaints, and conflicts in a timely and impartial manner.
    Lead and create training programs in partnership with Legal to ensure HR personnel, TAG, and managers are educated as part of their roles and responsibilities.
    Provide guidance and support to managers on addressing performance issues, disciplinary actions, and employee concerns.
    Facilitate communication between employees and management to resolve workplace disputes.
    Define and operationalize framework for exit interviews data insights; identify areas for improvement.
    Manage globally dispersed team; direct and indirect reports.
    Work closely with the General Counsel and Deputy General Counsel and other senior legal leaders to align global legal strategies with business objectives.
    Act as a trusted advisor to senior executives and business leaders, providing ER insights and guidance on key global business decisions.
  2. Compliance Oversight:
    Stay updated on federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations to ensure company compliance.
    Develop and implement comprehensive HR policies and procedures aligned with legal requirements.
    Conduct regular compliance audits and reviews of employee records to identify potential issues.
    Provide training to employees and managers on company policies and compliance expectations.
  3. Strategic Consulting:
    Advise leadership on complex employee relations issues, potential risks, and proactive solutions.
    Partner with in-house legal counsel on employment law matters, legal risk mitigation, and litigation support.
    Develop and implement initiatives to promote a positive workplace culture and employee engagement.
  4. Reporting and Analysis:
    Track key employee relations metrics (e.g., service level agreements, complaints, grievances) to identify trends and areas for improvement.
    Prepare reports for senior management on compliance status and potential risks.
