Department Description:
The GlobalLogic Software Development Department is dedicated to delivering high-quality software solutions that meet our clients’ diverse needs. Our team comprises experienced professionals specializing in various aspects of software engineering, from system architecture and design to implementation and testing
Requirements:
Educational Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Canonical Ubuntu OS and Linux-based environments
- Strong experience with makefile and build systems, specifically GNU make and custom build frameworks
- Knowledge of Debian packaging and modification
- Proficiency in C/C++ programming and scripting languages like Perl
- Familiarity with version control systems, particularly Perforce
Professional Experience:
- 2-4 years of experience in software development, with a focus on Linux systems
- Experience with container build environments and remote testing setups
- Prior experience in patching and maintaining open-source software
- Experience with automated build and release tools
Soft Skills:
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently
Job Responsibilities:
Contribute to integrating the latest Ubuntu LTS into the client’s proprietary Linux OS distribution. Integrate and fix any issues for the customized OS system packets. Contribute to modifying the build and testing environments. Support the integration of the updated distribution into the production environment.
