Project Description
We are developing a mobile application that utilizes both native and cross-platform (Flutter) frameworks to support Apple iOS and Android devices. The application is designed to communicate with a wearable healthcare device over the cloud, providing real-time visualization of health-related parameters for users.
Our team is responsible for the end-to-end process of the project, including design, development, and testing. We ensure adherence to industry standards and best practices throughout each phase of the project to deliver a high-quality, reliable, and user-friendly solution.
Requirements:
Experience:
- 5+ years of professional experience in mobile application development.
- Extensive native Android development experience, with at least 3+ years of proficiency in Kotlin and Java.
- Strong experience with Android architecture, design principles, and best practices.
- Hands-on experience integrating and working with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) in Android applications.
- Nice to have: experience with Flutter and Dart, with expertise in building and deploying cross-platform mobile applications.
Technical Skills:
- Expert in native Android development, including working with Android SDK, Android Studio, and related tools for building, testing, and deploying Android applications.
- Proficient in Kotlin and Java.
- Solid experience with Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE) APIs, including device discovery, communication, and pairing.
- Familiarity with Flutter and Dart, including platform channels for integrating native Android functionality (nice to have).
- Experience with Agile development methodologies, Git for version control, and CI/CD pipelines.
Soft Skills:
- Fluent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong leadership and mentoring skills, with the ability to guide and review the work of junior developers.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams, including UI/UX designers and backend developers.
Job Responsibilities:
Develop and maintain cross-platform and native mobile applications:
- Develop and maintain native Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java as needed.
- Build and update Flutter-based applications for both Android and iOS platforms.
Provide technical support to the development team:
- Assist and mentor junior developers in resolving engineering challenges and complex issues.
- Share knowledge and best practices for Flutter, Android development, and Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE).
Regular client communication:
- Report progress to clients, providing technical insights and updates on development tasks.
- Tailor communication to provide either low-level technical details or high-level overviews, depending on the audience’s needs.
Code reviews and quality assurance:
- Actively participate in the code review process, ensuring code quality, scalability, and adherence to best practices.
- Offer constructive feedback and suggest improvements to the codebase.
Feature design and development:
- Collaborate with the team to design new features and define technical approaches for solutions.
- Participate in discussions to optimize application performance, maintainability, and future scalability.
Support testing and deployment activities:
- Work closely with QA teams to troubleshoot and resolve bugs.
- Assist in testing and ensure that applications meet required functionality and performance standards before release.
