Requirements:
Must Haves
• Proven experience in backend web development (preferably in Python) for 5+ years
• Ability to establish priorities, identify and solve complex problems, challenge the status
quo
• Ability to effectively communicate abstract concepts to the team
• Proficiency in designing APIs.
• Experience with distributed systems
• Strong understanding of both relational and non-relational databases
• Proficiency in code versioning tools such as Git
• Strong unit testing and debugging skills
Nice to Haves
• Proficiency in Python frameworks such as Django, Flask, or Pyramid. Knowledge of more
than one programming language
• Experience with cloud services and deployments (Amazon Web Services, Google Cloud, etc.)
• Understanding software architecture design patterns
• Experience with Agile methodologies.
Job Responsibilities:
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
• Design, develop, test, debug and implement operating systems components, software tools and utilities.
• Determine systems software design requirements.
• Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency.
• Generate systems software engineering policies, standards and procedures.
• May work across a variety of software lifecycle activities as determined by program needs.
