Description:
Development (from scratch) & maintenance of backend services for TV streaming subscription services in AWS for an international broadcasting company headquartered in New York, US. The company owns several television channels/brands, developed state-of-the-art TV streaming applications for Android TV, Android Mobile, Apple TV, Roku, Samsung and Fire TV platforms, and wants to improve its backend services.
Requirements:
Required:
- 1+ years of development experience in one of either languages TypeScript, C++, Java, Javascript
- Experience in building Media Streaming application (OTT) will be a plus
- B.S. or higher in Software Engineering or similar area
- At least intermediate English level
- Ability to work in agile software development environment, maintaining focus yet remaining flexible to requirements and design change
- Proactive problem solving abilities
- Experience with AWS (S3, Lambda, Batch, etc.)
Would be a plus:
- Experience with REST API integration and basic understanding of networking
- Experience with Analytics and Advertisement integration
- Experience with In-app Purchases
Job Responsibilities:
- Develop back-end for enabling native subscriptions
- Build Unique solutions and User Experience in delivering Media Content (Live TV, Movies, Series and Shows, Sport events, Music and Podcasts)
- Build and maintain high-traffic Node.js backend applications and APIs in support of a variety of frontend applications
- Participate in Agile development process, including scoping, technical design, estimation effort, coding, testing, debugging, code reviews, maintenance and support
