In the role of Java Technical Lead, you will be wearing many hats covering project topics from various aspects like technical side, managing a team, making strategic decisions about technology, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality software. You will need deep Java expertise combined with leadership skills to guide the team and keep things moving forward.

Requirements:
Must have:
- Written and spoken Japanese language proficiency (native Japanese or JLPT N2 or higher, official JLPT certification is not a must)
- Written and spoken English language proficiency (equivalent of B2 or higher)
- Strong Java expertise (Java 8, 11, 17, 21)
- Leadership and mentorship experience (team members mentoring, communication, team collaboration)
- Problem solving & decision making attitude
- SW architecture and design experience (UML, XML)
- Proven experience with Agile methodologies
- Open minded, self-reliant, motivated, quick learner, organised
- Strong analytical skills
- Hands on experience with larger projects delivery
Good to have:
- Experience in CI/CD
- Experience in TDD (test-driven-development)
- Experience in FinTech / Renewable Energy / Railway / Automotive
- Having an EU Blue Card (non-EU citizens)
- Business development / stakeholders management
- prior experience working with Japanese companies is a plus (any domain)
Job Responsibilities:
In the role of Technical Lead you will be in charge of (but not limited to):
- Engineering Team(s) technical leadership
- Project management and coordination with external (Japanese) and internal (EU) stakeholders
- Contributing to project(s) development / coding
- Evangelizing best software development practices (coding guidelines, CI/CD, QA)
- Solution performance optimisations
- Efficient communication and collaboration with team members (hybrid teams)
- Risks management
- New technologies adoptions for better efficiency & performance
