Description
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Backend Developer to join our team. This role is ideal for an individual with a strong background in backend development, database management, and handling large-scale geospatial data. You will play a pivotal role in building and optimizing our backend systems, ensuring high performance and scalability.
Our EV Fleet Management product comprises a robust suite of services facilitating the seamless transition to electric vehicle fleets. It offers functionalities such as transition enablement, fleet optimization, charge planning, performance monitoring, and regulatory compliance. Leveraging advanced algorithms and predictive analytics, our solution maximizes fleet efficiency and productivity, ensuring optimal charging schedules and proactive maintenance.
About the Team:
We are an international team of product developers dedicated to building solutions that add value to our customers. With a focus on doing things the right way, we collaborate closely, experiment, learn, and deliver value regularly. Our modern tech stack includes Rust, Kotlin, Python, PostgreSQL, AWS, Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
Requirements
- 5+ years of backend development experience, delivering scalable and high-performance solutions.
- Proficiency in Rust programming with a strong emphasis on algorithms and data structures.
- Extensive experience with PostgreSQL, including performance tuning and working with large geospatial datasets.
- Strong understanding of software development principles, database design, and system architecture.
- Experience in both relational and NoSQL databases.
- Familiarity with Python for data science and scripting tasks is a plus.
- Proven ability to work collaboratively in a team and lead technical initiatives.
- Domain knowledge in vehicle routing problems and logistics applications is highly advantageous.
- Experience working with RESTful APIs, microservices, and cloud platforms (AWS preferred).
- A scientific or mathematical background is a plus.
Job Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize backend systems with a focus on performance and scalability.
- Work extensively with PostgreSQL, handling large amounts of map data efficiently.
- Implement solutions using Rust, ensuring high-quality, maintainable code.
- Develop and manage relational and NoSQL databases to support various application needs.
- Implement efficient algorithms and data structures to optimize system performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement microservice-based architectures.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs for seamless integration with frontend and other services.
- Utilize cloud platforms such as AWS to deploy and manage applications.
- Solve complex technical challenges related to mapping, geospatial data, and large-scale data processing.
