Description

You will be responsible for the establishment, management, and ongoing operations of a Security Operations Center (SOC) for one of the largest providers of cybersecurity services. The company delivers cybersecurity, compliance and data privacy services to organizations of all sizes to help fight the security threats of today and tomorrow. Our goal is to improve the overall security and privacy maturity of organizations to meet industry regulatory and compliance requirements, and enable business growth under managed risk conditions, with a clear focus on the organization’s people, processes, and technology

 

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Minimum of 5+ years of project management experience, with a background in IT security consulting
• Experience in organizing and managing customer support, NOC, and SOC operations in both 5×8 and 24×7 modes
• Experience in managing incidents of varying levels of severity, their resolution, and the preparation of RCA
• Demonstrated success in delivery of cross-organizational projects.
• Demonstrated success in managing clients that are geographically dispersed.
• Experience in managing executives and tracking and reporting on KPIs.
• Able to identify, create, and modify processes to enhance business goals.
• Outstanding organizational skills; ability to multi-task.
• Ability to work in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.
• High level of motivation to achieve desired results.
• Proven ability to prioritize tasks effectively, with attention to detail.
• Be a team player who can work effectively with peers and management across the organization.
• Candidate must have excellent skills in English.
• Knowledge and background in Software Development Life Cycle, particularly within an ERP system
Nice-to-Have Skills:
• PMP (Project Management Professional) certification or equivalent knowledge in project management methodologies is higly desired
• Experience in cybersecurity or previous involvement in building or managing a SOC.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance and data privacy regulations.
• Background in digital forensics or incident response management.
• Experience in organizing shift work in 5/8 and 24/7 modes in compliance with Polish labor law.


Job Responsibilities

• Take ownership of the SOC build-out, actively participating in and overseeing the recruitment of security analysts, ensuring they receive the necessary training and knowledge transfer.

• Ensure the uninterrupted operation of the SOC, coordinating with various internal and external teams.
• Develop and manage the team, including creating shift schedules to ensure the SOC operates effectively 24/7.
• Monitor progress and performance against project plans, resolving escalated issues to minimize delays.
• Identify and pursue new business opportunities related to SOC services.
• Actively participate in pre-sales activities, as well as the development and expansion of SOC capabilities
• Manage all aspects of a project, from start to finish, so that it is completed on time and within budget; and manage several projects simultaneously.
• Design, communicate, and implement an operational plan for completing the project.
• Monitor progress and performance against the project plan.
• Resolve escalated and operational issues and minimize delays.
• Identify new business opportunities.
• Developing project schedules, controlling budgets, and estimating forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
• Conduct meetings and prepare reports to communicate the status of the project.
• Create, manage, and report project metrics to appropriate levels of management.
• Set priorities, allocate tasks, and coordinate project activities.
• Manage and report revenue forecasts based on project plans and associated deliverables.
• Manage resource allocation of PMO and Professional Services (PS) staff on PS mandates to ensure proper utilization.
