Requirements

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of mobile testing concepts and methodologies.
• Experience with manual testing techniques.
• Familiarity with mobile operating systems (iOS, Android).
• Experience with bug-tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of mobile device hardware and software.
• Experience with testing mobile applications on various devices and emulators.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience with automated testing tools.
• Understanding of mobile development processes.
• Knowledge of performance testing and security testing.

 

 

Job responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

Test Case Development and Execution:

• Designing and executing comprehensive test cases based on requirements and specifications.
• Performing functional, usability, compatibility, and performance testing on mobile applications.
• Conducting regression testing to ensure that new changes don’t negatively impact existing functionality.

Defect Management:

• Identifying, documenting, and tracking software defects using bug-tracking systems.
• Reproducing defects and collaborating with developers to resolve issues.
• Verifying bug fixes and ensuring that they meet quality standards.

Test Planning and Strategy:

• Contributing to the development of test plans and strategies.
• Analyzing requirements and providing input on testability.

Device and Platform Testing:

• Testing applications on a variety of mobile devices and operating systems (iOS, Android).
• Ensuring compatibility across different screen sizes and resolutions.

Usability Testing:

• Evaluating the user experience and identifying usability issues.
• Providing feedback on application design and functionality.

Documentation:

• Creating and maintaining test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test reports.
