We are seeking a talented Test Engineer to join Avid’s Platform Engineering Team. You will be supporting the cloud and on-premise testing and supporting the Avid Platform as part of the Avid Everywhere strategy.
You will be part of a team of highly motivated engineers and software QA working in an efficient Agile/Scrum environment. The ideal candidate will have minimal experience and good theoretical knowledge of testing, have minimal programming experience, and be willing to learn new technologies.
Technologies stack: frontend – React, backend – Java, tests – Groovy/Java, Docker and Kubernetes.
Requirements
Required Background
BS/BA in Computer Science or Software Engineering
Practical experience with Java, or Groovy (Candidate will be asked to resolve simple programming tasks).
Linux user experience.
Good investigative problem-solving skills
Experience with Git
English – good written and verbal communication skills
The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate experience in the following areas:
Understanding of the testing methodology and approaches
Familiarity with test frameworks (Selenium)
Job Responsibilities
This position will be responsible for delivering against the following objectives:
Contribute to UI framework testing.
Manual testing of new features
Create scripts, integration, and automated tests to ensure product quality.
Participate in the CI/CD pipeline building and support.
Work with teams to help troubleshoot issues and testing during upgrades and daily operations.
