Our customer is a healthcare IT security company. It provides healthcare companies with a platform that addresses critical compliance and security challenges and helps to improve providers’ productivity.

The goal is to create a SaaS product from the ground up in a public cloud framework.

Requirements

Principal Software Development Engineer in Test is a member of the client Cloud Platform (ICP) team and is responsible for testing cloud services and cloud-based applications. As the principal SDET, you will be responsible for designing, developing, maintaining, and executing automated test cases, tools and frameworks. The Principal SDET works closely with Agile teams and coordinates with other members of the broader QA organization to ensure the highest quality level is met. Job responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

  1. Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript.
  2. Extensive experience with test automation frameworks such as Playwright, Selenium, Appium, TestNG, or others, to develop and execute automated test cases for cloud services and applications.
  3. Expertise in testing APIs, especially in a cloud environment (REST, gRPC), using tools such as Postman or SoapUI.
  4. Ability to perform end-to-end testing of cloud applications to cover the integration of microservices, databases, and user interfaces.
  5. Strong mentoring and coaching experience to aid junior SDETs improve testing practices and automate efficiency.
  6. Work in partnership with QEs/QAs to define test automation priorities, test data, test environments and test execution.
  7. Participate in scrum team ceremonies and recommend the necessary tests and enhancement where applicable.

 

Qualifications

  1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or related technical discipline.
  2. 5-7 years’ relevant SDET experience.
  3. Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams, including developers, product managers, and DevOps engineers.
  4. Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to quickly identify issues and work on resolutions effectively.
  5. Experience with dashboards such as Report Portal and Dynatrace for reporting, monitoring, and logging to track and validate the behavior of cloud services during tests.
  6. Strong written and verbal communication.
  7. Ability to think strategically.
  8. Can work independently as well as in a team environment.
  9. Experience working in an Agile (preferably Scrum) environment.
