Description
We are seeking an experienced Snr/ Lead Cloud Engineer with a hands-on cloud engineering and observability background. The candidate will be able to articulate the business benefits that cloud engineering and observability provide to our clients and take on the responsibility of handling client engagements from both technical and business perspectives.
What the role entails:
Client Engagements: Take ownership of client engagements from technical and business perspectives, ensuring successful delivery and fostering strong client relationships.
Capability Building: Contribute to building GlobalLogic’s global delivery capability to support customers and partners effectively.
Hands-On Contribution: Provide hands-on technical guidance and validation during client projects to ensure high-quality delivery.
Stakeholder Management: Manage stakeholders, identify new opportunities, and develop lasting client relationships.
Team Mentorship: Foster team growth by mentoring and supporting team members, prioritising people-first leadership.
Hiring and Scaling: Play an active role in the hiring process to ensure the team scales effectively with business growth and demand.
Process Optimization: Evaluate and provide recommendations to improve existing business processes for optimal efficiency.

Requirements
Key Skills and Experience (ideally):
- Experience with GCP Architecture and GCP Infrastructure services and APIs
- Experience working with core GCP services (Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, BigQuery, VPC, Cloud Functions and Pub/Sub)
- Experience with terraform or other IaC tools
- Detailed oriented in designing and developing architecture patterns for cloud solutions
- Experience with Cloud monitoring, cloud logging, and cloud trace services
Additional skills:
- Good understanding of GCP networking (VPC design, subnets, firewalls, load balancing, hybrid connectivity and Cloud DNS)Familiarity with IAM for roles and permission management
- Familiarity with GCP storage and data management with Cloud Storage
- Ability to configure custom monitoring alert and events using GCP native services
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using Python or Go
