Job Summary:

The Senior Software Engineer works as a member of the sustaining development team responsible for Product components, which provide Identity, Authentication Management and Single Sign- On services for applications. This team is focused on customer issue investigation and fixes to help ensure continued success with our product. The Senior Software Engineer – has knowledge of the Windows application and development, as well as a proven record of delivering products that fully utilize the facilities of the Windows OS. This role leverages our own software and that of client’s partners to bring an efficient and secure application experience to clinicians and providers.

A customer is a healthcare IT security company. It provides healthcare companies with a platform that addresses critical compliance and security challenges and helps to improve providers’ productivity.

The goal is to create a SaaS product from the ground up in a public cloud framework.

Requirements

Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of software engineering experience designing and building enterprise applications.
  • Strong C++ development and debugging skills.
  • Experience with Visual C++, Windows and/or Win32 APIs.
  • Experience with Linux a plus.
  • Experience with Python a plus.Experience with Java a plus
  • Experience integrating third-party APIs or SDKs into an enterprise product a plus.
  • Strong proven design skills with the ability to work well in a dynamic, fast-paced environment with high expectations.
  • Solid experience with the full software development life cycle and a proven track record in successfully bringing products to market.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to interact well with both internal teams and external customers and partners.

Job responsibilities

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Investigate and troubleshoot customer issues in features in the areas of security, authentication, single sign-on and healthcare workflow enablement. Our agent is used by thousands of clinicians all over the world.
  • The Sustaining Engineer is responsible for customer support escalations and the development of solutions for reported defects and security vulnerabilities in areas including clinician authentication, single-sign on and third party integrations to help ensure continued success with our product.
  • Act as a subject matter expert, providing deep dives into technical problems and solutions. Analyze trends and identify root causes of recurring problems, collaborating with engineering teams for fixes.
  • Serve as a technical expert, assisting team members with problem-solving and technical challenges.
  • Coordinate and prioritize team tasks, ensuring timely updates to customer support escalations.
  • Lead and mentor a team of engineers specializing in resolving complex technical issues for customers.
  • Design, code and test client-side components in C++ that deliver our entire client experience.
  • Design and code unit and automated tests that allow manual testing to focus on high-risk areas.
  • Assist QA in qualifying new vendor releases, including APIs, to determine ongoing compatibility.
  • Working in a scrum/Kanban team model, be responsible for analyzing possible solutions, scoping, planning, and delivering fixes.
  • Work with sustaining team manager and other team leads to prioritizing work and improve sustaining process.
