Description
We are hiring for the Golang lead role. The ideal candidate is familiar with all layers of software development and has functional knowledge to take a concept and turn it into a finished product. We believe that DevOps is not a step in an assembly line, it is a mindset. Quality is a challenge for which the team is responsible. This candidate is passionate about building quality products and wants to own projects end-to-end leading with design and development principles. This candidate is a problem solver and likes to challenge yourself with building the right solutions. In this role, you will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to design and build RESTful APIs in a microservice architecture.
Requirements
BS degree or equivalent work experience in Computer Science or related field
● 4+ years of Full Stack Engineer, Senior Developer, Cloud Engineer, or similar experience
● Expert in GoLang
● Expert background in writing rest apis to be deployed on Kubernetes
● Excellent verbal and written english communication skills
● Familiarity with caching frameworks (redis, CDN)
● Familiarity with SQL (Postgres) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases
● Able to lead and keep a team focused and on track
● Able to collaborate with other technical leaders to provide input on architectural decisions
Job Responsibilities
Participate in the design and implementation (testing and Production releases) of sophisticated software systems using functional programming techniques.
● Participate in software design and code reviews. Reviews include other Software Engineers and are held to ensure a high level of software quality and to share knowledge with team members.
● Participate in, and adhere to, professional software engineering practices using such tools and methodologies as Agile Software Development, Test Driven Development, Continuous Integration, Source Code Management (git), Jira, and GitHub.
● Participate in the planning, creation and execution of automated test cases and load/performance testing.
● Address production issues in a timely manner. This includes root cause analysis and working with manager and team members to resolve the problem.
● Create detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test plans and test cases
● Participate in SDLC: managing releases to all environments
● Participate in On-Call Support as needed (rotation approximately 1 out of 6 weeks)
