Description

We are seeking a skilled Senior Software Engineer with over 5 years of proven experience in software engineering, specializing in build/release engineering and platform integrations. The ideal candidate will have expert-level experience with build systems and continuous integration tools like Zuul or Jenkins, as well as strong knowledge of Linux systems and proficiency in Python. Experience with Docker containers is also required for this role. The position requires excellent communication skills in English to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

• 5+ years of proven experience in software engineering
• Build/release engineering and platform integrations experience
• Build systems and CI/Zuul or Jenkins experience at the expert level
• Very good Linux system knowledge
• Excellent experience with Python
• Experience with using Docker containers
• Very good communications in English

Job responsibilities

• Manage and enhance the build and release processes for software applications, ensuring smooth integration and deployment across different platforms.
• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins or Zuul to automate software build, testing, and deployment processes.
• Develop and maintain build systems, ensuring optimal performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams (development, QA, operations) to streamline the build and release workflows.
• Troubleshoot and resolve build failures, integration issues, and platform-specific challenges.
• Automate and optimize software deployment using Docker containers to enhance efficiency and scalability.
• Ensure that software release processes follow industry best practices for quality, security, and performance.
• Provide technical guidance and support to development teams, helping them optimize their integration processes.
• Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders, ensuring transparency and timely updates on the build/release status.
