Requirements

We’re looking for someone who has 6+ years of hands-on Java development
experience, including familiarity with core libraries and frameworks (Spring,
Hibernate, JPA).
• Proficiency in writing and optimizing T-SQL queries, stored procedures, and
functions.
• Proficiency in developing and integrating with RESTful APIs
• Strong understanding of SQL, including queries and stored procedures (MSSQL and
PostgreSQL)
• Experience in the full lifecycle of microservices, from design to development and
maintenance

 

Highly preferred candidates also have:
• Proficiency in Spring Boot development.
• Experience with cloud-native technologies, including AWS and Kubernetes for
container orchestration.
• Strong understanding of version control systems (git)

Job responsibilities

In this role, you will be responsible for converting complex SQL queries and
database operations into efficient Java code. You will be working with Eng.
teams on database migration from MSSQL to PostgreSQL project, schema
conversion, stored procedure transformation, and application compatibility issues.
• Refactor existing stored procedures into Java to ensure PostgreSQL compatibility
• Analyze complex SQL queries, stored procedures, and database operations, and
translate them into Java code.
• Perform initial query optimization and benchmarking to identify and address
performance bottlenecks
• Support overall migration efforts by handling day-to-day implementation tasks
under the guidance of senior engineering leads
