Description:

Duties/Responsibilities:
● Maintain familiarity with the technology, users, system interfaces, standards that are relevant to your product group, and ensure that your team is informed of these details
● Lead the team in practices of software engineering
● Stay current with technology and methods for software development that may be of value to Intelerad
● With the Development Manager, lead the team design discussion as an open forum for ideas and ensure everyone participates in the discussion to ensure the best possible ideas come to the surface and the team has buy-in on the design
● Lead the team in the design, development, and maintenance of our products
● Coordinate communication between developers and QA analysts to ensure quality development
● Facilitate cooperation and communication between team members when multiple developers are working on different components of the same module or project
● Lead the team in breaking down larger stories into smaller parts, which can be completed by a single developer in a short period of time, leading to the coordinated completion of the entire story in a timely basis
● Participate in Release Management activities, including assisting with documentation

Required Experience/Skills:
A qualified candidate must have a solid understanding of both object oriented and procedural scripting languages. The candidate must be able to meaningfully contribute to the design/architecture, implementation, and testing of PenRad’s products.
Mandatory qualifications:
● 10+ years application development
● Experience with MFC library and C++
● Experience with at least two high level languages such as C, C++, and C#
● Experience with MSSQL
● Ability to provide technical mentorship to team members
● Ability to work individually and as part of a team
● Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills
● Excellent judgment in influence for product roadmap direction, features, and priorities
● Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field

Exceptional candidates will have one or more of the following qualifications:
● MS in Computer Science or related field
● Experience with large scale distributed applications or web service
● Experience working in a regulated environment (FAA or FDA)
● Experience with healthcare data exchange standards (HL7 or DICOM)
● Experience with web development languages JavaScript or TypeScript
