Description:
Under the guidance of the Finance Director, the Senior Payroll Specialist will be responsible for support in payroll processes including the month-end close, account analysis, audits, and other ad-hoc tasks and projects. The Senior Payroll Specialist is expected to function with an ability to expand their knowledge and skills, to adapt to a multi-task environment, to help out, and to progress in their career.

Requirements:
- University degree
- At least seven years of experience in a similar position
- Fluent in Romanian
- Good command of English (min. B2 level).
- Proficient in Excel, and good knowledge of payroll accounting
- Experience with SAP or Oracle system is an advantage, but not a must
- Great knowledge of labor and tax legislation for payroll
- Experience in an international company, preferably with a US parent, is advantageous
- Good team player, ready to share the workload or ask for support
- Sensitivity to cultural differences and ability to interact at all levels
- Adaptability as the organization evolves
Job Responsibilities:
- Preparation of support data for payroll calculation, check of timesheets and payroll-related reports
- Check and provide the final confirmation of payroll calculation received from external payroll services vendor
- Provide support to employees regarding the calculation of salary and taxes retained
- Assist with the year-end audit process and statutory reporting for payroll related requests
- Improve the efficiency of payroll processes and procedures and monitor compliance
- Share knowledge between team members to ensure backup is available when needed
- Respond promptly to Corporate/local requests for information
- Contacting and cooperating with external companies/institutions (auditors, tax advisors, tax office, social office, statistical office and banks, payroll vendor)
