Description:
Join our international team to work with us on one of the market-leading online platform for travelers. The platform serves as a comprehensive resource for users, offering a wide range of services to assist individuals and businesses in planning and booking various aspects of their trips. You will be a part of our support group for corporate network connectivity, load balancing, and firewall services.
We are seeking a high-performing individual contributor who mentors more junior engineers applies new engineering principles to improve existing systems and is responsible for leading complex, well-defined projects.

Requirements:
• 5+ years of work experience for Bachelor’s, 3+ years for Master’s education in IT or a related technical field; or equivalent related professional experience
• Relevant certification (e.g., Cisco CCNA,CCNP, AWS Associate, AWS Network Specialty)
• Experience working in decentralized teams and projects
• Maintained and enhanced network project / product in production environments in public / hybrid cloud infrastructure
• Implemented software solutions to configure infrastructure with code
• Proficient in configuring enterprise or service provider grade network hardware
• Proficient in configuring, operating, and automating cloud IaaS networks (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Knowledge of routing protocols (e.g., OSPF, MPBGP, ISIS, MPLS)
• Understands physical and virtual network technologies and how they interoperate
• Knowledge of models used to show network state and for configuration (e.g., SNMP, NetFlow, IPFIX, Netconf, Restconf, gRPC)
• Knowledge of network monitoring / alerting tooling such as DataDog or equivalent. Logging tools such as Splunk or equivalent
• Strong troubleshooting skills in identifying and resolving network issues promptly. Ability to comprehend output data from monitoring tools to identify sources of trouble
• Experience with firewall policy configurations, VPNs, remote access and other security protocols. Knowledge of network security practices including vulnerability assessments, mitigation and remediation
• Understanding of wireless networking standards. Experience with configuring and managing wireless access points and controllers.
• Familiarity with cloud networking and hybrid cloud environment concepts. Experience with cloud services such as Compute, Firewall, Security Groups, VPC, and Transit Gateway
• Understanding of scripting for networking. Experience with Bash, Python or similar. Ability to write code for basic functions like reading from/writing to a file and interacting with an API endpoint to complete tasks. Understanding of Git/Github processes
• Experience in handling network-related incidents and outages. Ability to work within a structured incident management framework and follow policy
• Proficiency in managing network changes and ensuring minimal disruption. Experience with change control processes and documentation
• Ability to create and maintain detailed network documentation. Experience with generating reports on network performance and incidents
• Mentoring skills. Ability to share knowledge and guide junior personnel
• Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to convey complex technical information to non-technical stakeholders. Upper-intermediate English skills or higher
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Ability to assess network issues and devise effective solutions
• Ability to work in shifting hours to collaborate with the US-based team
Job Responsibilities:
• Perform routine network management responsibilities for the LAN, WAN, and telecommunications systems, supporting other associates as needed
• Uncover and communicate potential business impacts of routine activity
• Gather pertinent information about a problem by analyzing data and patterns and identifying underlying issues
• Gain an understanding of business impacts created by problems with the technology
• Research and recommends more detailed solutions to resolve problems
• Implement solutions based on advanced knowledge of standard practices and previous experiences; escalate complex or unprecedented issues
• Bring together different stakeholders with varied perspectives to develop solutions to issues, and contributes own suggestions
• Investigate standard or routine issues or incidents, and draft concise, balanced, evidence-based reports on findings
• Conduct rigorous tests and inspections of products, services, solutions, or processes to evaluate quality or performance
• Demonstrate knowledge of advanced and relevant technology; exhibit comfort working with several forms of technology; understand the relationship between applications, databases, and technology platforms
• Analyze requirements and assist with the design of architecture
• Research information, data, trends, and best practices in emerging technology and share beneficial information with relevant stakeholders
• Mentor and guide junior personnel
