Description:
The client is a pioneer in medical devices for less invasive surgical procedures, ranking as a leader in the market for coronary stents. The company’s medical devices are used in a variety of interventional medical specialties, including interventional cardiology, peripheral interventions, vascular surgery, electrophysiology, neurovascular intervention, oncology, endoscopy, urology, gynecology, and neuromodulation.
The client’s mission is to improve the quality of patient care and the productivity of health care delivery through the development and advocacy of less-invasive medical devices and procedures. This is accomplished through the continuing refinement of existing products and procedures and the investigation and development of new technologies that can reduce risk, trauma, cost, procedure time and the need for aftercare.
Requirements:
Proficiency in programming languages such as C and C++
• Experience in embedded systems development with knowledge of microcontroller/microprocessor architectures • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded development tools
• Understanding of hardware design principles is advantageous
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills for effective collaboration and documentation
• Hands-on experience with a variety of embedded hardware typical in healthcare
• Experience working with Class C (3) devices or similar safety-critical systems. In-depth understanding of complex build systems and make files. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to optimize legacy code.
Job Responsibilities:
Lead and mentor a team of embedded software engineers, providing hands-on technical guidance and support.
• Design, develop, and optimize embedded software
• Ensure that all software meets regulatory requirements and industry standards, particularly in the medical device sector.
• Assist in the planning and execution of product development timelines and deliverables.
