Description:
As a Data Consultant for the Data and Analytics team, you will work within a Professional Services team to support our customer’s data platform on project. You will also support the development of new tooling and methodology to streamline our data processes.
You will work with our customers, partners, and other team members to deliver successful data access programs utilizing our custom migration tools. You will utilize best practices for design, development and delivery of customer projects.
One of our principles is to have fun while we deliver, so this role will need to keep the delivery process fun and engaging for the team in collaboration with the broader organization. Given the dynamic nature of the work in the Data and Analytics team, we are looking for decisive, highly-skilled technical problem solvers who can bring their array of experience working in previous data streaming related roles. You will cooperate closely with teams located around the world.
Requirements:
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, or equivalent level of demonstrable professional competency, and 5 years + in delivery type role
• Familiarity with functional programming concepts.
• Experience with the Scala programming language.
• Experience with Apache Spark for big data processing.
• Familiarity with data processing and ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) concepts.
• Experience working with relational and/or NoSQL databases
• Experience working with different cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure
• Experience developing and deploying production REST APIs.
• Experience working with customer teams to understand business objectives and functional requirements.
• Effective leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

• Deliver data access projects for customers on time and effectively
• Work with the data team to improve processes and methodology
• Create new tooling to streamline data processing when called upon or when the opportunity presents itself
• Systematic problem-solving approach, coupled with a sense of ownership and drive
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced Agile environment
