Job Requirements:
Excellent coding skills (preferably Java, but other OO languages considered)
Knowledge in writing, maintaining and executing automation tests using frameworks such as JUnit, TestNG or similar
Good working knowledge of testing RESTful APIs, using tools such as REST assured or Postman
Knowledge of one or more Web UI automation tools such as Selenium, Protractor, Cypress.io or similar
Exposure to Continuous Integration tools such as Jenkins, Travis or Bamboo
Good written and spoken communication, interpersonal and problem-solving skills
An analytical mindset with the ability and desire to solve software engineering problems
A strong team player with a positive attitude
Flexible, open to change and new ideas
Able to thrive in a fast paced environment
Excellent attention to detail
Driven to learn and stay current professionally; stays up to date on the newest technologies and tools

Position Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and implement extensible automation frameworks that enable test automation, across teams or programs, to ensure the holistic quality of the software
- Lead the verification of system functionality by analyzing results and providing recommendations from complex automated and manual test runs; review and provide recommendations on test outcomes, performance, and scalability; report defects and results back to teams or programs
- Create and communicate test automation roadmap, vision, and strategy through collaboration with program leadership, including creating testing standards and processes for the team
- Implement, monitor, and report on metrics related to test automation and code quality across programs for visibility
- Operate as an innovative thought leader to contribute to the overall growth and quality of testing in the department through the creation of standards and processes; knowledge sharing; analysis and selection of systems and tools; influence on architecture and design; and methodology.
- Mentor, coach, train, and provide feedback to other team members; provide feedback to leadership on technical abilities of team
- Identify and create new tools, strategies, and methodologies that enable efficient test automation and quicker application deployments; ensure cases verify functionality, performance, and scalability of automation framework
- Act as an escalation point and subject matter expert for the most complex production issues or software issues to ensure the stability of the application and resolution of issues
- Complete complex code reviews and provide feedback to the team
- Create testing standards and processes for the team and events, including planning, work estimation, reviews, and test design
- Identify and articulate the business value and broader impact of software changes to internal and external stakeholders related to the design of automated tests; contribute to the prioritization of team and/or program backlog
