GLOBALLOGIC (UK) LIMITED
UK SLAVERY AND HUMAN TRAFFICKING STATEMENT
Fiscal year ending 31 March 2021
The UK Modern Slavery Act 2015 (the ‘Act’) requires a business to state the actions they have taken during the financial year to ensure modern slavery is not taking place in their operations and supply chains. GlobalLogic (UK) Limited (“GL UK”), a member of the GlobalLogic group of companies (“GlobalLogic”), is fully committed to playing our part in eradicating modern slavery. We advocate for transparency and collaboration to eliminate the risks of modern slavery and are committed to improving our practices to combat slavery and human trafficking.
Our business
GlobalLogic is a global provider of software engineering & consulting services. Headquartered in San Jose, California (USA), the GlobalLogic group of companies operates in 14 countries, and partners across every industry to deliver full-lifecycle software development to businesses around the globe. GL UK is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Bonus Technology, Inc. (a New Jersey, U.S. corporation), itself a wholly-owned subsidiary of GlobalLogic Inc. (a Delaware, USA corporation), and functions as an intermediary between certain of our customers and other GlobalLogic group companies by executing contracts. GL UK has one office in the United Kingdom, and about 35 employees.
Risk assessment
GL UK has evaluated our risks, and due to the nature of our business and skilled services we provide, and the nature of our suppliers we use to support our business, GL UK is at low risk in relation to modern slavery and human trafficking. GlobalLogic provides services from highly-skilled, highly educated engineers and technology leaders globally to deliver quality services to our customers. The nature of our industry, and the importance of attracting and retaining key talent being critical to our business, make any risk of modern slavery or human trafficking in our business low.
The GL UK supply chain is comprised of reputable UK technology vendors (hardware, software, etc.), and providers of infrastructure and other business services (office space, business equipment, catering, etc.). GL UK may also rely on executive recruiters, providers of professional legal and financial services, and other contractors as necessary from time to time. GL UK reviews our use of suppliers from time to time and as necessary, will adapt our processes if we determine any risk.
Our anti-slavery and human trafficking measures
GlobalLogic is committed to conducting business in a responsible and ethical manner. GlobalLogic has a zero-tolerance approach to human trafficking and modern slavery. GlobalLogic complies with all laws attendant to its business, and is committed to ensuring that there is no modern slavery or human trafficking in our supply chains or in any part of our business.
GlobalLogic has global policies and procedures for all group companies to ensure effective systems and controls are in place to prevent slavery and human trafficking from occurring in our business. The GlobalLogic Global Code of Conduct establishes principles for how we conduct our business, and encourages our employees to speak up and report any concerns they have, including in relation to any suspicion of slavery or human trafficking. The GlobalLogic’s Whistleblower Policy and Prohibition Against Retaliation Policy each provide GlobalLogic employees with safe processes to report concerns. GlobalLogic also provides all personnel with reporting mechanisms that include a third-party provided whistleblower hotline to enable and encourage a compliance culture.
To ensure modern slaves and trafficked humans are not involved in our supply chain, GL UK uses reputable vendors, and our template agreements require our vendors comply with all laws. All vendors are vetted and approved before GL UK will engage them as part of our supply chain.
Our effectiveness in combating slavery and human trafficking
GlobalLogic conducts internal audits from time to time, none of which have identified any slavery or human trafficking in any portion of the business, or supply chain, including for GL UK.
GL UK continually reviews and evaluates our business practices and compliance, and we believe all efforts to date are effective in preventing slavery and human trafficking from our business and our supply chain.
This statement is made pursuant to section 54(1) of the Modern Slavery Act 2015 and constitutes GL UK’s slavery and human trafficking statement for the financial year ending 31 March 2021.
