Description:
Our customer is an international company with offices in more than 20 countries and headquarters in Tokyo, Japan. It is one of the largest Tier 1 semiconductor and microcontroller vendors for automotive, industrial, home electronics, and other industries worldwide. The Company is cooperating with the world’s biggest car manufacturers, providing them with high-quality, cutting-edge, and comprehensive integrated cockpit and automotive computing platforms.
The team in GlobalLogic is providing a full cycle of R&D services to the customer. The main responsibility is the bring-up of the newest versions of the Android OS on customer-specific hardware, including system requirements analysis, new features development, bug-fixing, system integration, and validation.

MS/BS Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or equivalent

Good understanding of the modern automotive architecture
-
Extensive and proven knowledge in C and C++
-
Automotive software development experience with communication interfaces and protocols experience (CAN, CAN-FD, Ethernet, MOST, etc.)
-
Working knowledge of embedded operating systems, including Linux, Android, FreeRTOS
-
Working experience in BSP development, optimizations, troubleshooting and hardening
-
Working experience in Renesas SoCs
-
Linux userspace and kernel space development experience

Knowledge of ARM architecture

Excellent communication skills
-
Ability to work in multi-site, multi-cultural teams

Strong analytical and problem solving skills

Advanced English
Job Responsibilities:
- Contributing to the development and bug-fixing of the multiple OS (Linux/Android/RTOS) on the customer’s automotive board
- Take responsibility for product development on a module level
- Work with the product manager for requirements capture and clarification
- Estimate and plan execution with the team
- Analyze product failures and identify potential solutions
- Contribute to the vendor specific platform bring-up
- Contribute to fixing Linux Kernel-related defects
