We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Fullstack Engineer (Node + Ember) who can help deliver large, strategic, and complex projects. This position demands a high level of teamwork, mentoring other engineers, and working with the team to deliver reliable and robust solutions our customers can depend on. In this role, you will face a huge array of challenges – from strangling off legacy systems to designing new product features. Our ideal candidate is someone who loves to collaborate with others but can also work independently to take an idea from concept to implementation. Requirements:
Attributes of a Successful Candidate
● Minimum of 5 years of experience developing web-based applications
● Experience with informal technical leadership and mentorship of junior engineers
● Experience with a modern front-end framework (Ember, Angular, React, Vue, etc.)
● Experience writing REST / JSON APIs in various backend technologies (Node.js, Dotnet, etc.)
● Strong testing culture
● Ability to work together with a team to deliver high quality software
● Growth mindset
Preferred Skills
● Experience with Node.JS and modern ES6 or TypeScript
● Experience with Serverless architecture and related paradigms
● Experience with modern frontend frameworks (Ember.js, React)
● Experience working on SaaS web applications
● Github Actions and general CI/CD experience
● Bonus: Docker or Kubernetes experience
● Bonus: Electron and/or MSFT Add-In development experience
● BS in Computer Science (or equivalent experience)
Job Responsibilities:
Key Responsibilities
● Build and ship product features end-to-end
● Ability to write clear and well-defined design documentation
● Mentor fellow engineers
● Lead application architecture decisions
● Troubleshoot, debug and resolve software bugs
● Implement back-end APIs in Node.JS
● Work on our Ember SPA front-end
● Collaborate with engineers, designers, and product managers
● Participate in an Agile software development process
● Write well-designed, maintainable & testable code
● Be product-minded and think about the customer
● Work with JavaScript, Node.JS, Ember, Python, Docker, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes, Electron.js, React, etc.
