Requirements:
- 5+ years of experience with RabbitMQ, with expertise in designing and managing high-performance messaging systems.
- Hands-on experience with RabbitMQ clustering, installation, and configuration in a high-throughput, low-latency environment.
- Experience with Kubernetes for deploying and managing RabbitMQ clusters in an on-prem environment.
- Strong understanding of messaging patterns, message durability, fault tolerance, and scaling strategies.
- Strong understanding of integrating different services using RabbitMQ, including messaging patterns like pub/sub, work queues, and routing
- Experience with monitoring, tuning, and troubleshooting RabbitMQ systems.
- Familiarity with message queuing protocols such as AMQP.
- Strong knowledge of networking, load balancing, and security protocols within RabbitMQ deployments.
- Experience with DevOps tools like Helm, Ansible, Jenkins, or Terraform for automation and configuration management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to optimize performance under high loads.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with large-scale, distributed systems.
- Familiarity with other messaging systems (Kafka, ActiveMQ) is a plus.
- Experience with cloud-based RabbitMQ solutions (optional but beneficial).
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure as code (IaC) tools.
Job Responsibilities:
We are seeking a skilled RabbitMQ Architect/Engineer to join our team. This role involves designing and implementing a scalable messaging architecture within a .NET and Kubernetes (on-prem) environment, ensuring it can handle high message throughput while maintaining performance, high availability, and fault tolerance. You will work on optimizing RabbitMQ installations, configuring clusterized setups, and managing messaging systems that process over 100,000 messages per second. This role requires deep expertise in RabbitMQ clustering, tuning, and troubleshooting in a complex, high-load environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement scalable RabbitMQ architecture within an on-prem Kubernetes environment.
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and message durability for RabbitMQ clusters.
- Configure, manage, and optimize RabbitMQ clusters capable of handling high-throughput messaging (100,000+ messages per second).
- Collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to ensure efficient integration of RabbitMQ with .NET applications.
- Monitor and troubleshoot RabbitMQ clusters, identifying bottlenecks and performance issues.
- Implement best practices for message queue management, including retry strategies, dead-letter exchanges, and message durability.
- Maintain and optimize RabbitMQ cluster performance, including memory, disk usage, and CPU utilization.
- Automate RabbitMQ deployment, scaling, and recovery processes using Kubernetes, Helm, or similar tools.
- Ensure security and compliance of the messaging architecture, including managing authentication, encryption, and access control.
- Document RabbitMQ configurations, architecture designs, and troubleshooting procedures.
