Description:
We are seeking an experienced Lead Data Engineer with a robust technical background to lead our data engineering initiatives. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with BI tools, data processing frameworks, and SQL query optimization. As a Lead Data Engineer, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining our data infrastructure, ensuring data integrity, and driving insights that support strategic decision-making.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Lead Data Engineer or similar role.
- Proficiency with BI tools: Informatica, Control-M, Looker, Oracle Exadata, Oracle TopLink, Apache Storm, Oracle Responsys (transactional and campaigns), and Tealium.
- Strong knowledge of SQL queries, including complex joins and query optimization.
- Experience writing SQL queries in Spark on the Scala framework.
- Solid understanding of data warehousing, ETL processes, and data modeling.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to work effectively in a remote team environment.
Job Responsibilities:
- Lead the design, development, and maintenance of our data infrastructure.
- Develop, optimize, and manage complex SQL queries in Spark on the Scala framework.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver scalable solutions.
- Ensure data integrity, accuracy, and security across all systems.
- Utilize BI tools such as Informatica, Control-M, Looker, Oracle Exadata, Oracle TopLink, Apache Storm, Oracle Responsys (transactional and campaigns), and Tealium to develop comprehensive data solutions.
- Mentor and guide junior data engineers, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and learning.
- Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure our data practices are cutting-edge.
