We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Front-End Software Engineer to join our dynamic team working on the Looker product. As a Front-End Software Engineer, you will play a crucial role in building and delivering mission-critical features for the product. As part of this team, you will have the opportunity to work on a large surface area of the product and build features from the ground up. You will collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and other engineers to deliver high-quality software that meets the needs of our rapidly growing customer base.

Responsibilities
Design, develop, and maintain front-end components and features of the Looker product using cutting-edge technologies.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, define user stories, translate them into technical specifications, and communicate status and blockers effectively throughout the project.
Ensure the scalability, performance, and maintainability of the front-end codebase.
Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and best practices in front-end development and bring new ideas to the team.
Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineers, promoting a culture of continuous learning and growth.
Conduct code reviews, write documentation, identify areas for improvement, and implement optimizations to enhance the overall quality of the product.

Minimum Qualifications (MQs)
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
3 years of experience with full stack development, across back-end such as Java, Python, GO, or C++ codebases, and front-end experience including Angular, JavaScript or TypeScript, HTML, CSS or equivalent.
Proven track record of designing and implementing intuitive user interfaces and delivering exceptional user experiences.
Experience working in teams that follow Agile methodologies.
Preferred qualifications
Having as many of these specific qualifications is a plus, but transferable skills/experiences may be equally valuable
We are looking for an experienced software engineer with:
Strong JavaScript Expertise: Experience in frontend coding tools and languages (e.g. Javascript/Typescript, HTML, CSS, Angular).
Experience in Cypress and cucu test frameworks.
Experience with standard web application frameworks (preferably Google ones).
