職種概要
People.
1. USA: owner, top management, PM, PO, Acrh, 1 full SCRUM team.
2. Ukraine: PM, PPOs (1 per each SCRUM team), Arch, 4 SCRUM teams, DevOps, RM, QA Leads (MQA & AQA). The GL team counts 70 people in total and is growing.
Product.
We’re developing a POS solution that allows providing attended (employee) and unattended (customer) tunnel car washing service. There are two labs:
1. One in USA (Ohio)
2. One in Ukraine (Lviv)
Both support USA and Canadian market. One hardware set includes several points on sale, a set of different sensors, readers and cameras, payment terminals, servers, automatic gates.
Ukrainian team develops a PWA application and a hybrid web application (.Net & Angular) that operates on hardware & cloud and supports full customer flow: from customer recognition or account creation to sale & directing their car to a tunnel. All embedded development is on the client’s side. Some teams have hardware dependencies based on the areas of the application they work with, meaning office presence is necessary.
Flow.
SCRUM, 2-week sprints, Stable releases cadence. Sprints include mandatory daily stand-ups, grooming, planning, demo, and retro sessions.
Team.
New feature team which develop .net Angular web mobile application. New experiences, great colleagues, and exciting tasks are waiting for you!
General Project QA structure
1. MQA. Each SCRUM team has its own MQA engineers, usually 2-3 engineers per team of different seniority, all managed by one MQA Lead. There are 14+ MQAs engineers on the product. Ukrainian and USA locations work independently and rarely interact with each other.
2. AQA. AQA engineers are not assigned to a specific SCRUM team and operate separately, targeting the most prioritized areas of the application. Automated tests are integrated into most QA processes. There are 7 AQA engineers on the product.

SUMMARY
The DBA engineer is responsible for the monitoring, installation, configuration, administration, troubleshooting and maintenance of database solutions. DBA engineer provides technical support, troubleshoot problems, perform database related maintenance tasks to ensure stable and efficient operation of technology solutions.
COMPETENCIES (Skills and Abilities)
• Firm understanding of database operations in a multi-platform environment leveraging MSSQL, Postgres SQL,no SQL databases
• Experience designing and managing databases in an Azure Cloud environment.
• Experience in query tuning and understanding of SQL execution plans in a multi-platform environment
• Experience with Mongo and/or Snowflake is a plus but not mandatory.
• Experience building effective monitoring, alerts, and metrics for production services in an Azure environment.
• Experience with Azure database cloud services
• Experience upgrading, migrating, and modifying Azure databases and their structures.
• Understanding of online transaction processing vs reporting as it relates to database performance.
• Experience in scripting with Json, Bash, or Python.
• Understanding and/or knowledge of working in a 24/7 production environment.
• Excellent communication, prioritization, and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile development environment
• Initiative with the ability to see opportunities for improvement; take ownership and closely work with the appropriate teams to implement improvements
• Good communication skills

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following but not limited, other duties may be assigned during the project evolving
• Performs installation, monitoring, testing, configuration, migration, maintenance and troubleshooting of assigned technologies.
• Manages system/application environment and ongoing operations.
• Ensures that the technologies are updated with current, stable, and compliant architecture and applications that meet enterprise standards
• Researches, designs, implements and tests technology solutions
• Proactively monitors and reports performance and utilization of assigned technologies
• Resolves alerts and performs remediation activities
• Manages problem or escalated tickets and tasks and out of cycle requests from systems/software owners
• Collects and presents data for reporting and planning
• Assists with developing tactical strategies, processes and procedures related to database administration
• Determines migration and upgrade impacts and diagnose/resolve complex database errors
• Collaborates with IT and business area partners on work groups and initiatives
• Determines best course of action for meeting business needs
• May provide input into infrastructure architecture designs
• Develops scripts/programs to aid in the automation and deployment of systems and administrative procedures.
• May participate in Disaster Recovery planning and exercises
• Ensures execution and alignment to architectural standards and blueprints.
• May contribute input to infrastructure architecture
