Description

With a strong focus on PostgreSQL to join our platform team. You will be responsible for managing, optimizing, and securing the central PostgreSQL storage that supports our real-time data pipelines, microservices, and multi-tenant applications.

This is a critical role in a project designed to deliver high-performance, scalable, and resilient data infrastructure—enabling analytical workloads and seamless integration with microservice-based systems.

Our Client is a transnational company that owns numerous products within the Finance domain. The сlient platform combines market-proven payments and cash management with the customer experience and engagement capabilities that banks can use to manage their own branding, segmentation, and integration with related applications.

Requirements

Technical skills

• 5+ years of hands-on experience as a PostgreSQL DBA in a production environment.
• Solid understanding of SQL performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.
• Experience with PostgreSQL replication, high availability, and failover.
• Hands-on experience with AWS cloud services, including RDS, EC2, S3, and IAM;
• Familiarity with on-premises database environments, including server hardware, storage, and network infrastructure;
• Strong knowledge of database concepts, architecture, and administration, including backup and recovery, performance tuning, and security;
• Proficiency in SQL programming and scripting languages for automation and database management tasks;
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail;
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams;

 

 

Job responsibilities

• Design and implement database solutions for both AWS cloud and on-premises environments, ensuring optimal performance, reliability, and scalability;
• Monitor database health and performance, proactively identify and address issues, and optimize database performance to meet business requirements;
• Implement and maintain database security measures, including access controls, encryption, and compliance with regulatory requirements;
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement data migration, replication, and integration solutions between different database platforms;
• Develop and maintain database documentation, including system specifications, configurations, and procedures;
• Provide technical support and troubleshooting assistance to resolve database-related issues and incidents;
• Stay updated with emerging technologies, best practices, and industry trends related to database management, cloud computing, and data architecture
