Description

Our client is a performance rights organization in the United States. It collects blanket license fees from businesses that use music, entitling those businesses to play or sync any songs from the client’s repertoire of over 22.4 million musical works. On a regular basis, the client distributes the money to songwriters, composers, and music publishers as royalties to those members whose works have been performed.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of QA experience.
  • Expertise in creating and implementing comprehensive test strategies for thorough software testing.
  • Proven experience in manual QA testing with a focus on data testing (extraction, transformation, processing, etc).
  • Familiarity with data testing tools.
  • Experience with Databricks is a plus.
  • Experience with accounting software, SOX compliance, payment integrations are a huge plus
  • Expertise in creating and implementing comprehensive test strategies for thorough software testing.
  • Strong understanding of various software development methodologies.
  • Solid knowledge of software testing life cycle (STLC) and defect management.
  • Comfortable performing manual QA testing.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • B.Sc. in Computer Science is an advantage.
  • Advanced level of English.

Job Responsibilities

  • You will be part of a team responsible for building the Royalty management solution (consolidating data from multiple sources, performing financial calculations, generating analytics, and integrating with third-party payment platforms to ensure accurate royalty distribution to music creators).
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, and product owners, to define quality standards and acceptance criteria.
  • Contribute to the creation and execution of test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Identify, document, and track software defects and inconsistencies, ensuring timely resolution.
  • Conduct root cause analysis and recommend process improvements to enhance product quality.
  • Ensure that QA best practices and standards are consistently followed across projects.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and tools to continuously improve QA processes
