Description
The client develops, manufactures, and markets the only active robotic surgical systems for orthopedic surgery. The client is a very flexible team that favors interaction and communication. The system’s main functionality is the creation of a 3D representation of the bone, helping the surgeons plan the surgery and the connectivity between the different systems. The client is looking for a Lead AWS Engineer who specializes in cloud infrastructure development to participate in bringing their surgical planning system to the next level. This position will be Remote.
The Preoperative planning team is responsible for developing the applications that generate plans for robotically guided surgery. The system is principally used by the case planner and the surgeons. The system’s main functionality is the creation of a 3D representation of the bone, helping the surgeons plan the surgery and the connectivity between the different systems. We are a very flexible team that favors interaction and communication. Requirements
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years’ experience with AWS Cloud.
- 4+ years of medical device experience – Released at least 1 SaMD on a cloud platform
- Led or participated in designing scalable, high-performance systems, e.g. high memory usage with large files
- Experience with Cognito, Serverless clusters, Serverless applications, GraphQL, containers, and servers.
- Knowledge of cybersecurity’s best practices for AWS
– Experience with security best practices (e.g. using IAM Roles, KMS, etc.). - Knowledge about front/backend integration
– Performance tradeoffs between HTTP (REST), web sockets
Job Responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
- Understanding of CDK or Cloud formation and OOP
- Experience orchestrating multiple services and containers.
- Experience in iterative development.
