Description
Our project is a big and complex rental system for corporate clients. We operate on a global scale and work with huge construction companies. The system has a range of system-critical components and generates 1mln CHF per month. GlobalLogic team is a primary vendor and we work in a tight collaboration for 2.5 years already. We’re supporting IT infrastructure responsible for renting tools all over the world for a lead provider company based in Switzerland. Our team is working with the SAP platform and middleware (Java microservices).
Requirements
A minimum of 5 years of related experience in SAP ECC 6.0 environment and/or S/4HANA ideally in SAP SD module
Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields; a PhD is an added advantage
Proven full-stack experience of 4+ years in development across process areas in an SAP and/or cloud environment with waterfall and agile methodology
Team Leadership experience
Technical expertise in SAP and cloud technologies (e.g. ABAP, UI5, Java, Javascript, Scala, HANA DB, Oracle DB, GIT, ORMS, HTML, Bamboo or Jenkins, non-relational databases)
Good understanding of architecture principles and design patterns
Analytical skills to draft development methodologies in a variety of different technologies
Willingness to learn and the ability to develop yourself and your colleagues
Experience in working in an international and geographically dispersed team
Excellent communication skills, high commitment, self-responsibility, and customer orientation
Strong drive for success and high level of commitment
Job Responsibilities
In a nutshell, as a Senior Engineer, you will ensure reliable operations of our core systems (SAP S/4HANA and cloud services) while driving the modernization of existing systems and development of new platforms with best-of-breed technologies in a continuous delivery model and leveraging Agile best practices.
The role will require you to implement and support Global IT solutions by using emerging techniques / technologies including user-centricity, responsive design, and cloud/on-premise solutions. You will need to evaluate IT solutions and alternatives for economic and operational feasibility. You are responsible for implementing the software architecture into detailed design, code, unit & modular testing, and performance optimization on SAP UI5, WebUI, WD4A technology, ABAP OO (SAP Gateway, SAP ERP etc).
You will maintain software code by identifying and fixing root causes of application defects, adjusting to environmental changes, and adding enhancements. As a senior, you will be expected to take responsibility to mentor junior developers and lead technology vendors. Lastly, you will collaborate and cooperate with different project stakeholders including business, IT, and technology vendors and you will be part of a high pace strategic company program.
