Description
We are seeking an experienced Golang developer with hands-on backend development experience and working knowledge of GCP to incubate and deliver Data Services on GCP.
Requirements
Qualifications
● MS/BE/Btech degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent experience in the industry
● 8+years of full-stack development experience on enterprise grade software
● 4+years of hands-on backend development experience in GoLang/Java
● 2+years of experience with building microservices based solutions
● 2+years of hands-on experience on Google Cloud Platform (GCP)
● Experience with REST/gRPC backend API design and development is a plus
● 2+years of experience working with frontend technologies: React and/or Angular, HTML, CSS, Javascript, Typescript
● Prior experience with CI/CD and other development tools like: Spinnaker, Jenkins, Git, Jira, Butler, Argo CD strongly desired
● Prior experience with additional Cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Openshift) preferred.
● Ability to follow agile software development practices and work in a distributed team
● Experience building scalable, robust and secure enterprise applications
● Self-driven and motivated, with a strong sense of ownership and craftsmanship
● Strong written and verbal communication skills
Pluses
● Deep understanding of GCP tech stack: Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE) networking, Google Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Identity & Access Management (IAM), Cloud Monitoring & Logging
● Experience building PaaS and SaaS products
● Experience working in open source Apache Hadoop Community and more broadly the Big Data ecosystem communities (e.g. Apache Hadoop, Apache Spark, Apache Hive)
● Experience working in the Cloud Native Computing Foundation (CNCF) community”
Job Responsibilities
An ideal candidate should also have hands-on experience with GCP, Docker and Kubernetes. You will be responsible for designing, building and delivering the platform and will closely collaborate with partner engineering teams to deliver features at a rapid pace. You must be self-motivated, innovative, and proactive.
